The original Pokémon Old Maid — a Pokémon Center classic that started it all. The Pokémon Babanuki Red Deck is the original edition of the official Pokémon Old Maid card game published by The Pokémon Company, released exclusively at Pokémon Center stores in Japan in May 2019 — the card that proved a simple Japanese party game and beloved Pokémon characters are a perfect combination.

Babanuki is a card game for 2–8 players. Shuffle the deck, deal the cards between players, and try to avoid being left holding the dreaded Joker card at the end. The Pokémon twist? When you draw a card from the player to your right, you have to say the Pokémon's cry out loud — which immediately gives away who's holding the Baba card. Pure chaos. Pure fun.

The Red Deck features a vibrant cast of beloved Pokémon including Pikachu, Squirtle, Meowth, Jigglypuff, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Eevee, Ditto, Slowpoke, and many more in cheerful, full-colour cartoon illustrations — with Gengar lurking on the box as the original Joker. The deck contains 36 cards including 2 spare cards. All cards are in Japanese, but the deck comes with an English instruction manual included — making it fully accessible for international players and collectors.
